James Perez, Guitarist, Vocalist and Songwriter

Hailing from Brownsville, TX, James found a passion for music at the age of 13, after his grandfather gave him his 1st drum kit. He then progressed to playing guitar and singing. James developed his skills playing anywhere from showcases to shady bars in South Texas. When James turned 20 he helped establish Shotgun Sally, a national touring act opening for bands such as Iron Butterfly, Nazereth, Savoy Brown and the Black Crowes. He has been a San Antonio resident for the past 5 years and has made a quite a few creative marks on the city.

A true "Jack of All Trades," he is has written and produced CD's in both English and Spanish languages. The first commercial CD, Ratones Ciegos, has had airplay in Mexico. His instrumentals, Spanish Rock and English Alternative songs have also had airplay on the AAA market. Most of his experience was gained from Lorenzini Studios in Brownsville, TX and the Radio, Television and Film program at San Antonio College. With all this experience and talent, James started up On the Moon Productions in 2003, a recording studio and sound engineering service in San Antonio. He is also the creator of the Money Mart Pawn logo and bumper stickers that are seen all over San Antonio.

James and his ever supportive wife, Celina, enjoy supporting live music, travelling, the outdoors and spending time with their three chihuahuas - Wicho, Lilly and Cochina.
